How to watch all the Best Picture nominations before the Oscars

LOS ANGELES (WCMH) — The Oscars are this coming Sunday, and you still have time to watch all of the Best Picture nominations.

There are eight films nominated this year. Some of them are still at the theaters, but several of them are available to watch right from your couch at home.

Here’s how to watch them all before the big awards show:

The Big Short


Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt star in The Big Short. The movie is based on the true story of four outsiders who made a bold investment during the banking financial crisis.

Bridge Of Spies


Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance, Scott Shepherd, Amy Ryan, Sebastian Koch and Alan Alda star in Bridge of Spies. The movie is based on the true story of James Donovan, a laywer who found himself in the middle of the Cold War when the CIA sent him to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot.

Brooklyn


Saoirse Ronan starts as a young Irish immigrant who came to America in the 1950’s. She soon finds herself trapped between being homesick and being in love with a man she meets in Brooklyn.

Mad Max: Fury Road


Tom Hardy stars at Mad Max and Charlize Theron stars as Furiosa in the latest from director George Miller. The movie is a near non-stop thrill ride as the pair try to escape a Warlord and all his gangs.

The Martian


Matt Damon stars as Astronaut Mark Watney who is presumed dead and left behind by his crew after a fierce storm hits a manned mission to Mars. When NASA learns he’s still alive, they launch a mission to bring “the Martian” home.

The Revenant


Leonardo DiCaprio stars as legendary explorer Hugh Glass who is left for dead by his hunting team after being attacked by a bear. He survives and starts tracking down the man who betrayed him, John Fitzgerald, who is played by Tom Hardy.

Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay star as a woman and son who were held captive for years in an enclosed space. After they gain freedom, the 5-year-old boy makes a thrilling discovery.

Spotlight


Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo and Rachel McAdams star in the true story of a team of reporters who looked into allegations of abuse in the Catholic Church.
