Royals World Series trophy makes a trip to Washburn

TOPEKA (KSNT) – On Wednesday night from 6-8 p.m. at Washburn’s Lee Arena, the Kansas City Royals World Series trophy was on display to the public as part of the ‘Royals Trophy Tour’.

Throughout the month of February, and championship trophy has visited 22 different locations throughout the Midwest and given fans the opportunity to take pictures with the most sough-after prize in major league baseball.

On Monday the tour made a stop in Junction City.

The Royals are currently in Surprise, Arizona for spring training right now, and will play their first exhibition game on Wednesday March 2 against the Texas Rangers.
