Riley County Police investigating death of K-State professor

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – The Riley County Police Department is currently investigating the death of a Kansas State University professor.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of Rimrock Drive in northern Riley County around 7:00 Monday morning for a report of a death.

Officers on scene found 50-year-old Joye Gordon, of Manhattan, deceased. A report for an unattended death was filed.

Police say the investigation into the death of Gordon, who is a professor of Journalism and Mass Communications at K-State, is ongoing though currently no evidence has been found to support foul play.

An autopsy has been scheduled.

No other information has been released at this time.
