TOPEKA (KSNT) — An art exhibit honoring a Washburn University professor opened Saturday afternoon.
Prairie Memories: The Art of Glenda Taylor honors the life and art of ceramics professor Glenda Taylor.
Taylor, a lifelong Kansan, expressed her love of the plains, its animals, winds and tornados in her pieces. The exhibit will run through May 14 at the Mulvane Art Museum on Washburn’s campus.
Taylor was killed last June while she was cycling in an amateur time trial after a car struck her. The man driving the car, Todd M. Kidwell, was charged with second-degree reckless murder in connection with her death. He has not yet been sentenced.
