TOPEKA (KSNT) – Legislation has been signed to allow for memorial signs to be place on certain highways where deaths caused by drunk drivers have occurred.
Governor Sam Brownback signed the Kyle Thornburg and Kylie Jobe Believe Act Wednesday morning. He was joined by the mother of a person killed by drunk driver five years ago on Interstate 70.
Kylie Jobe and Kyle Thornburg were killed when their vehicle was hit by a person driving the wrong way on I-70. He was also killed and had a blood alcohol content nearly three times above the legal limit.
