TOPEKA (KSNT) — Rain or shine (or snow), it’s still Easter weekend. So, on Saturday, families gathered for the third annual Topeka Easter Parade and Family Fun Fair at Gage Park.
Vendor booths, children’s games, food, face-painting, and music were all available to fair-goers. The only thing dampening some people’s spirits was Mother Nature.
“There was actually a lot of people out here this morning,” says Jennifer Howard, a vendor. “Some people didn’t have their main products out here because of the rain.”
But while conditions might not have been favorable for business, there were roughly 2,000 people who attended the festival.
The event was coordinated by the Capital City Christian Chamber of Commerce. Business groups, churches, and non-profit groups helped sponsor the event.
