TOPEKA (KSNT) — The victim of a Friday shooting in the 2000 block of SE Echo Ridge Circle has been identified, as well as two persons of interest in the murder investigation.
On Friday at 5:39 p.m., Topeka Police officers went to the area on a call about a shooting. When they arrived they found a victim, now identified as 20-year-old Topekan Brian Miller, behind a residence on the eastern side of the road. He had life threatening injuries and officers, firefighters and AMR administered aid at the scene. He was transported to Stormont-Vail where he died as a result of his injuries.
The Topeka Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding two persons of interest in connection with the investigation. One is 19-year-old Deangelo M. Martinez, who stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. The other is 16-year-old Christopher Pattillo, Jr., who stands 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.
