Emporia dentist dies in crash

EMPORIA, Kan. (KSNT) — A motorcycle crash in Emporia has claimed the life of a well-known dentist.

Police were called to the crash at West 9th Avenue and Chestnut early Wednesday afternoon.

Fifty-two-year-old Brenton Bennett was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on West 9th. Thirty-eight-year-old Jenny Baysinger from Madison was driving an SUV northbound on Chestnut. His motorcycle hit the driver’s side door of the SUV in the intersection.

Bennett was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

His family tells KSNT News that he was a loving father, great son and was friends with everyone.
