SALINA, Kan. (AP) — A Salina homicide suspect and another man have been arrested after a train blocked the path of their fleeing pickup truck.
Police Capt. Chris Trocheck says the chase began Tuesday morning, about two hours after 21-year-old Adonis Loudermilk, of Lincoln, Nebraska, was found fatally shot in a Salina motel parking lot.
Trocheck says the passing train forced the driver of the fleeing truck to turn around west of Salina. The truck then drove back into town, where the driver hoped a curb and traveled about 200 yards in a railroad right-of-way. With two tires busted, the driver and his passenger bailed and were arrested after a short chase.
The driver and a 24-year-old woman are jailed on suspicion of felony murder and robbery. The truck’s passenger is suspected of obstruction.
