TOPEKA, KAN (KSNT) — Be careful if you plan to take your kids swimming this summer.
The Center for Disease Control is saying that drowning is the number one cause of unintentional deaths of children between1 and 4.
Research and Extension Specialist Bradford Wiles said parents should be aware of how well your child can swim.
Also, if you have a portable or kiddie pool, be sure to drain them daily because even inches of water can be deadly.
Make sure you have fence should be installed around permanent pools.
