TOPEKA (KSNT) – Shawnee County District Attorney Chad Taylor on Friday announced he will not seek another term.
At a news conference Taylor said he believed that serving two terms is enough for anyone holding elective office.
Taylor was elected in 2008 and was re-elected in 2012 after facing no opposition. Prior to being District Attorney, he was in private practice and also served as a Municipal Court Judge Pro Term. In February of 2014 he announced a run for U.S. Senate, but in September of the same year, he dropped out of the race.
This is a developing story. KSNT News will have additional information as it becomes available.
