TOPEKA (KSNT) — The Topeka Police Department is investigation a collision that seriously injured two women early Saturday morning.
Shortly before 2 a.m., two women were hit by a truck as they crossed Topeka Boulevard where it intersects with S.W. 32nd Terrace.
Information released several hours later did not give many details about the women but did say they were adults and their injuries were “life threatening.”
According to police, the two women were hit by a pickup truck as it headed south on Topeka Boulevard. The driver of that truck was later taken in for questioning.
As of 7:30 a.m., the identities of the women had not been released and police could not offer an update on their condition.
While police were investigating, the intersection was closed for several hours. Topeka Police Sgt. Langdon told KSNT News the street was open again.
