TOPEKA (KSNT) – A ribbon cutting was held Monday afternoon for a new clinic in northern Shawnee County.
The new Cotton O’Neil North building is located at 4505 N.W. Fielding Road. The location is east of Highway 75 and N.W. 46th street.
The top level of the new building houses Cotton O’Neil Family Medicine. Drs. Patrick Raney, Melissa Herrman and Timothy Borchers began seeing patients at this new location just last week. The main level is nearly 20-thousand square feet with 36 exam rooms and two procedure rooms.
The building has been designed using a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) concept that facilitates relationship based care. Staff will greet patients in a waiting area and check-in kiosks allow for shorter wait times. Flexible ancillary rooms are available for group visits to engage patients in the process of wellness learning. A lab is available for blood draws, as well as an X-ray room with an all-digital unit.
A community open house is planned for July 2016.
