KSNT Storm Tracker video: Tornado in Ford County

DODGE CITY, Kan. (KSNT) –  Tornadoes rolled through Southwest, Northwest, and South Central regions of Kansas. Tuesday evening just outside of Dodge City. A tornado touched down in Dodge City.

The Kansas Public Affairs Office said two people have been seriously injured. They were taken to a hospital in Dodge City. Across Kansas trees and power lines have been knocked down and a few homes have been damaged.

The Kansas HIghway Patrol reported their mergency vehicles were damaged by baseball sized hail. A semi-trailer was blown over at a US 50 bypass with no one hurt. A roadway on a bridge was damaged over U -56 where tornado ripped up asphalt.

The storms are expected to continue to push eastward across the state with gusty winds and heavy rain. There is a low risk for hail and tornadoes.
