A few rounds of showers and storms are expected to develop west of the region this evening and move in by late evening/early tonight. Some of those storms could be strong to severe with hail and strong winds the primary threats. Lows back in the middle 60s overnight.
Higher humidity and warmer weather will build in for much of the area on Wednesday. Highs in the middle to upper 80s with a heat index in the 90s. This may fuel a few storms, but overall the storm chances look to be a little lower on Wednesday.
Another round of strong to severe storms looks possible late Thursday after temperatures again climb into the middle to upper 80s with muggy weather in place. A general trend toward periods of sunshine and periods of storms will continue into the Memorial Day Weekend.
