For the 4th straight day this week – severe weather is likely. Widespread heavy rain, large hail and gusty winds are the primary threats…again. An isolated tornado is also possible. The window of time we’re watching is VERY similar to yesterday – between 3 and 7pm.
As the holiday weekend approaches, flooding becomes a much bigger concern. There’s only so much rain our water-logged soil can take. Some spots have already picked up nearly 8 inches of rain since Monday! The chance for showers and storms will persist every day through (at least) the middle of next week. Expect daytime temperatures in the 70s and 80s with relatively humid air in place; the fuel for the strong storms is going nowhere anytime soon.
As we’ve already seen so far this week – there will also be stretches of rain-free and sun-filled weather. So, Memorial Day Weekend will NOT be a wash-out. Will there be episodes of heavy rain? Absolutely. Will it be raining the entire weekend? No. You’re already in the right place for the latest weather information. We realize your schedules are extremely busy as the holiday weekend approaches. Be sure to keep checking back for updated forecast. We’ve got your back – it’s why we’re always watching and always tracking the weather! Stay tuned.
Have a great day!
