Westar works to restore power to parts of Topeka following overnight storms

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Some may have to reset their clocks Wednesday morning after lightning knocked out power in some parts of Topeka overnight.

According to Westar Energy, as of 6:30 a.m. only 74 are without power in Shawnee County.

Between 1 a..m. and 2 a.m. there were almost 450 people that didn’t have power.

Crews continue to work Wednesday morning to help restore power to all parts of the city.
