MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) — Country music lovers but on their cowboy boots and jammed out to their favorite county song for one last time. The country stampede in Manhattan is playing its final tune for the concert that started Thursday.

Thousands of fans were excited to be at the country stampede for its last day in Manhattan. Many fans say they were excited to have their favorite artists perform as well as listening to some new music from other artists.

“I actually love being here,” Jose Ganitsch, Stampede fan said. “I actually drove from Denver, Colorado to be here. I’ve been coming here since 1999. Moved to Denver and I loved come back for this.”

Team Cocktail who sponsors the country stampede says they’re thrilled to see the turn out this year and how fun the atmosphere is.

“This is my first year here and the people are so much fun,” Casey Biddy, Team Cocktail said. “Everyone’s partying and having a great time especially in the party pit, we’ve been having so much fun giving out passes all weekend.”

Artists have also traveled all the way to Kansas to perform for their fans. Singers like Ryan Hurd say this is an amazing experience for him to be a part of.

I love it,” Hurd said. “I’ve been to a lot of festivals this year and there’s a lot of great ones, but this is one of the best ones.”

Other bands like the Casey Donahew band says this is their first time being at an event like this — adding the stampede is very unique compared to other events.

“The fact that it’s been around for so long. Over two decades of the Kicker Country Stampede and we’re just lucky to get to be a part of it for this year.”

About a hundred vendors and food for people to enjoy. President of the festival says he’s extremely pleased with this weekend’s incredible turn out.
