Suspect in custody from Salina stabbing

SALINA, KS (KSN)- Police say as of Monday afternoon they have John  James Brown in custody after a warrant was issued for his arrest on Sunday.

Brown was a suspect in a stabbing that sent two men to the hospital early Sunday morning.

The two men who had been attacked with a knife at a northeast Salina residence and were taken to Salina Regional.

One of the victims sustained a cut to his hand and the other had been stabbed in the torso and was listed in serious condition.

Brown was wanted on suspicion of aggravated battery and attempted first degree murder and considered armed and dangerous.

Brown was apprehended by a SWAT unit in southeast Saline County Monday afternoon with the assistance from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office and the KHP Air Unit.
