Lawrence PD looking for driver that dragged officer

UPDATE: The car has been found, but police are still looking for the driver.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (KSNT) — The Lawrence Police Department is looking for the driver of a white Ford Fusion that dragged a Lawrence police officer.

Around 4:45 p.m in the 1100 block of Rhode Island Street Tuesday, an officer pulled over the car. The driver of that vehicle drug the officer as the man was trying to drive away.


The officer was hurt and taken to a hospital.

The man was wearing a blue suit with a white shirt and red tie. He was also wearing “aviator style” sunglasses.

The Ford Fusion has a Missouri tags with plate number : SM6W3R.
