MANHATTAN (KSNT) — Manhattan residents can get rid of their old, unwanted furniture this week. Furniture Amnesty Day is coming back to Manhattan on Friday, July 29th.
The city of Manhattan offers two ways to donate furniture. An online form can be filled out HERE to schedule a furniture pickup or anyone interested can call 785-587-2404 by 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 27th. Pickup routes are only available to homes within Manhattan city limits. Leave furniture outside a porch, driveway, or front yard on Friday.
Residents can also drop off donations on Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Baker Field parking lot of City Park in Manhattan. Volunteers will be on-hand to help unload items.
Furniture that can be accepted includes sofas, couches, recliners, chairs, desks, tables, lamps, mattresses, entertainment centers, dressers and headboards. Volunteers will not accept appliances, televisions, computers, pianos or grills.
