Dinosaurs, monsters and Armageddon coming to Kansas Expocentre this weekend

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Looking to beat the heat this weekend? Jurassic Quest, the largest exhibition of life-size, moving dinosaurs in North America, will be in Exhibition Hall and the Kansas Expocentre grounds beginning Friday at 3pm through Sunday at 7pm. Visitors can interact, learn about and even ride a few of these huge creatures. Other activities including fossil digs, inflatable mazes and face painting will be featured, making this event fun for kids of all ages.

On Friday, August 5th, Budweiser and V100 radio will welcome “Monsters of Mock” to Landon Arena. This free show will bring together Poison Overdose, the ultimate tribute to Poison; Almost KISS, the hottest tribute endorsed by Gene Simmons; and KC/DC, the Midwest’s premier AC/DC tribute. Free tickets can be picked up at West Ridge Mall customer service, Big O Tires in Topeka and Lawrence, Topeka Harley Davidson and Lawrence/Topeka Battery.

August Armageddon, a professional boxing and MMA show, will hit Landon Arena on Friday, August 13. Professional fighters from across the Midwest will be vying for the championship title. Tickets are available through the Expocentre box office or Ticketmaster.com.
