Onaga man arrested on aggravated assault, drug charges

ONAGA, Kan. (KSNT) — A 53-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after threatening someone with a gun.

Around 2:38 p.m. the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Dispatch got a call about an unwanted person at 717 Leonard Street.

The caller said that the other person inside the house had been threatened with a gun. Sheriff’s Office Deputies and the Onaga Police then went to the area.

The suspect, Scott Hanner, was found outside the house. After investigating, deputies took Hanner into custody on probable cause.

He was arrested for aggravated assault, possession of a stimulant, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is currently confined at the Pottawatomie County Jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond.
