Man arrested in Junction City after 2 hour standoff

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (KSNT) —  A man is in jail without bond after a 2 hour standoff with Junction City Police and more law enforcement.

Just before 9 p.m. Monday police were sent to the 300 block of W. 5th Street to a domestic disturbance complaint. Once officers arrived at the apartment a woman said her husband, 49-year-old Scott Robinson, had threatened her as she left the apartment.

It was reported that Robinson had a shotgun and had threatened to harm himself and others. He refused to leave the apartment to speak with officers.

After 2 hours Robinson surrendered. He’s charged with criminal threat and interference with law enforcement.

Robinson is in the Geary County Detention Center without bond until his first appearance in court.
