Topeka police arrest suspect in Monday night Kwik Shop robbery

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Topeka police say they have arrested a suspect believed to be involved in a robbery at a Topeka Kwik Shop late Monday night.

The Topeka Police Department says 34-year-old Dane Laron, of Topeka, was arrested on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and drug paraphernalia.

Officers responded to the Kwik Shop located at 102 SW 37th Street at 11 p.m. Monday on reports of an armed robbery at the business.  Laron reportedly entered the business brandishing a handgun and demanded money. After taking an unknown amount of money, he fled the store on foot heading eastbound.

No one was injured in the robbery.
