Man thrown from truck on Highway 75 was wearing seatbelt


TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – A 52 year old man is expected to survive after getting thrown from a pick-up truck in an accident on Highway 75.

The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office tells KSNT News that the accident involved a truck towing a car and another vehicle. The car was driving alongside the truck and tried to change lanes when they collided. The truck rolled over into a ditch and the driver was thrown. He was taken to a Topeka hospital with injuries, but he is expected to live.

The 36-year-old woman who was driving the car was not injured. Both the female driver and the man thrown from his truck were wearing seatbelts according to the SCSO.
