Multiple vehicles set on fire in Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – The Topeka Fire Department responded to reports of multiple vehicles on fire late Sunday night in Topeka on the 3700 block of SW Kiowa Street just after 11:30.

A resident heard a loud noise and discovered two vehicles on fire in the driveway and called 911. A neighbor noticed another vehicle on fire that was parked along the street within the same block and called police.

When the Topeka Fire Department arrived they were able to quickly put out the fires and protect the house and street from damage.

Early investigation indicates the cause of the fire to be intentionally set. The estimated amount of damage is over $11,000.
