1 suspect; 2 robberies in less than 2 hours

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Two robberies within two hours in the capital city could be connected according to Topeka Police.

Just after 5:00 Monday night, Topeka Police responded to an armed robbery at Advance America near SW 32nd and Topeka Boulevard. A little more than an hour later, the Family Dollars on SE 6th street near SE Golden was robbed at gunpoint around 6:30 p.m.

The suspect in both cases was reported as a black man, dressed all in black and wearing a ski mask.

They say he was armed and was seen leaving in a silver passenger car.
