3 more cars set on fire in Topeka late Thursday night

TOPEKA (KSNT) — Several cars were set on fire in Topeka late Thursday night.

It happened in the 1000 block of SW 6th Avenue and involved several fire crews.

Topeka fire crews found three vehicles on fire in a parking lot on the west side of the structure. Firefighters quickly put out the fire, keeping it from spreading to the building.

Initial investigation shows the fire was intentionally set. The estimated dollar loss is $1,500.

On Monday, September 19, 2016, the Topeka Fire Department responded to a report of three vehicles on fire in the 3700 block of SW Kiowa Street. Crews were able to put out those fires and protect a house from damage. Authorities believe these fires were also intentionally set. The estimated amount of damage was estimated to be over $11,000.
