Social worker attacked by dog in Jackson county


HORTON, Kan. (KSNT) – A female social worker was attacked by dog in southwestern Jackson County.

The attack happen a little after 1:30 p.m. in rural Delia. The social worker drove herself to the Potawatomi Tribal Fire Station and then was transported to a hospital in Topeka.

She in serious but stable condition. The owner of the dog was not at home at the time of the attack and the Jackson County Sheriff’s office has impounded the dog.

The dog was a Prese Canario and was at the address the social worker was visiting.
