What We’re Tracking:
- Breezy ahead of Tuesday’s storm chance
- Strong/severe storms late Tuesday
- Cooler weather late-week
Warmer weather in place as south/southeast winds have increased across the region. The breezes will remain stronger overnight with lows only falling into the lower 60s.
Highs in the upper 70s on Tuesday as a front approaches from the west. By late afternoon and evening, scattered to numerous storms will develop along the front. Some of these storms could be strong to severe with hail and high winds the main threats. However, if a storm can remain separated from the expected line of storms, it would have the potential to rotate. Because of this, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
A brief cool-down Tuesday night before we warm up ahead of a front on Thursday. That will bring additional rain chances and will be followed by much cooler weather by Friday.
