Man dies after arriving at St. Francis with a gunshot wound

TOPEKA (KSNT) — A Topeka man who was found with a gunshot wound in a Topeka hospital parking lot has died from his injuries.

Topeka Police were called by security around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning to St. Francis Health Center. 28-year-old Michael Stadler was found with life-threatening injuries.

Police investigated a crime scene on 29th Street and Burlingame Road. Stadler was shot at that location after a road rage incident with suspects he did not know.

The suspects’ vehicle information is a dark blue Chevrolet SUV or a red or orange motorcycle. Eastbound traffic on 29th Street was shut down temporarily while police investigated.

Topeka Police are asking anyone with information to call Lieutenant Wheeles at 785-368-9576.
