Overall, this Columbus Day holiday weekend is shaping up to be a quiet and seasonable one. As that bubble of high pressure that helped to keep as crystal clear throughout the day moves to the east, increasing cloud cover will built in behind it. Seeing some more clouds in the sky will actually help keep our temperatures from plummeting into the 30s like they did last night. Overnight lows tonight will gradually drop down into the 40s across the region.
Tomorrow will be a similar story, with some minor adjustments. We’ll see a few more clouds in the sky as more expansive cloud cover continues to roll in. But at least it will be another comfortably warm day as temperatures will break back into the 70s, with highs ranging from the low to mid 70s.
We’ll end the extended holiday weekend on a nice note for Columbus Day itself. Aside from the meager chance for a stray shower or storm early on Monday, we’ll see the clouds start to break apart to allow in breaks of sunshine to close out the day. Temperatures will once again climb into the low to mid 70s across the region.
