Strong cold front barrels through by daybreak

What We’re Tracking:

  • Mild weather with increasing clouds tonight
  • Showers, breezy, much cooler for Wednesday
  • Frost possible by Thursday morning

We’re tracking a strong cold front that is dropping south through the area tonight, turning our winds to the north near daybreak and ushering in some much chillier weather for the middle of the week. Lows will fall into the upper 40s and lower 50s for early Wednesday with scattered showers developing tonight.

A few scattered showers on Wednesday, otherwise mostly cloudy, breezy and noticeably cooler. North winds 10-20mph will combine with highs only in the middle to upper 50s to make it the chilliest day we’ve had so far this season.

By Wednesday night, skies will be cleared out and the winds will let up, allowing temperatures to drop into the lower to middle 30s. Many areas may experience a frost by early Thursday before warming back into the upper 50s on Thursday.
