Former K-State student who posted racist photo arrested for theft


MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – A former K-State student who went viral in a racially charged Snapchat is now facing charges for theft.

The Great Bend Post is reporting that Paige Shoemaker was arrested in Geary County Friday.

She posted bond and is now out of jail.

Shoemaker’s snap of her and a friend wearing black skincare masks and joking they were African American sparked controversy on social media nationally.
