TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – The Kansas Highway Patrol says they are currently looking for a vehicle involved in a hit and run that severely injured a Lawrence man Tuesday night.

KHP said the vehicle left the scene around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday after it hit 38-year-old Daniel Christopher Vining, who was walking on the Oakland Expressway.

The suspected vehicle KHP is looking for is an older, possibly 1990’s to early 2000’s model Chevrolet truck, dark blue or black in color. It will be missing its right side mirror and it is likely the passenger side headlight is inoperable.

Please call Master Trooper Adam Simone at 785-296-3102, with any information.
