Topeka police investigating late night homicide

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Topeka police are investigating the city’s most recent homicide after a 21-Year-old Topeka man was found dead late Monday night.

The Topeka Police Department says officers responded to a residence at 11:00 p.m. in the 2100 block of SE Market, just east of California St., in regards to a shooting. When officers arrived they found the shooting victim, who was declared dead by emergency medical responders.

Police tell KSNT News that this shooting was the result of an argument between known parties. Police say that all parties involved in this incident have been identified and interviewed.

The homicide investigation yielded information of a domestic violence incident that preceded the shooting.

The victim has been identified as Treondus Lee Wilson.

Police say this investigation will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for criminal charging consideration.

No arrests have been made at this time.
