MERIDEN, Kan. (KSNT) – Family and friends are mourning after an 18-year-old man was killed in a crash over the weekend.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a 1995 Mazda pickup was southbound on Detlor Road at 1:00 Sunday morning, south of the K-4 and 54th Street junction. KHP says the driver left the roadway to the right and struck three wooden fence posts, causing the vehicle to overturn twice, coming to a rest on its wheels. The driver, identified as Skylar L. Callahan, of Meriden, was ejected.

Callahan was transported by Jefferson County EMS to Stormont Vail Health Care in Topeka, where he later died from his injuries.

KHP says Callahan was not wearing a seat belt.
