“Hair for the Holidays” helping put presents under trees of children in need

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – Some Riley County officers may soon look more like members of the Duck Dynasty cast.

It”s “Hair for the Holidays” this November as they raise funds for their annual Cops ‘N Kids program. For just $100, RCPD police officers, detectives, department support staff, and corrections officers wanting to “spare their hair” can opt out of the required facial maintenance for this month only. Cops N’ Kids is now in its 28th year supporting families in the community that can’t afford presents at Christmas. They serve about 50 families each year.

The bearded boys in blue will be sure to tame their manes to keep a professional appearance.
