Truck hits pedestrian late Thursday night in Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Topeka police say one person was taken to the hospital late Thursday night after being hit by a vehicle.

Officers responded to a report of an injury accident around 11:18 involving a pedestrian at SW Sena and SW Gage. When officers arrived they discovered a 28-year-old man was struck by a truck traveling south on Gage.

Police tell KSNT News the pedestrian was transported to an area hospital with injuries believed to be life threatening.

The area was closed for a few hours while crews worked the scene but has now reopened.
