Junction City man killed in I-70 hit-and-run

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run on Interstate 70 Friday night.

Kansas Highway Patrol said two men, 29-year-old Anthony Espinosa and 25-year-old Jamie Cooper of Junction City, were changing a tire on westbound I-70 near Rice Road just after 11:00 p.m. when they were both struck by a truck.

Espinosa died on the scene. Cooper was not injured.

Kansas Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a White Ford F150 with 60 day temporary Kansas tags. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Kansas Highway Patrol or Crime Stoppers at 785-234-0007.
