We’re tracking more tranquil weather heading into Veterans Day Weekend. Today will be the warmest day of the week, with high temperatures soaring into the 70s this afternoon. ‘Jack Frost’ paid us a visit last night, though. You might need the windshield scrapers again this morning. However, another November day proving that a frigid start does NOT mean a chilly afternoon. Our average high temperature for this time of the year is merely 58° – we’ll be some 10-15° above average in the temperature department later today!
Our latest sunshine streak will continue through the weekend and into next week. In fact, there are no chances for rain in the next seven days. Chilly nights and mild afternoons will prevail as we get to within a week of Turkey Day. Generally, lows will be in the 40s and high will be in the 60s throughout this stretch. But don’t forget, this is Kansas and the weather can change VERY quickly. Remember last year’s ice storm over Thanksgiving Weekend? Stay tuned.
