Police investigate attempted robbery at SE Topeka Subway

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Topeka police are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred at a southeast Topeka business Thursday night.

Police say at 8:48 p.m. an attempted robbery occurred at the Subway located at 2003 SE 29th Street. Subway staff described a white male wearing glasses, a heavy black coat, dark colored clothing and a bandana, who entered the store with a handgun and demanded money. The staff fled the store, leaving the suspect inside.

When officers arrived on the scene the suspect was no longer inside the store.  Staff did not hand over any property and it does not appear the suspect took anything from the store.

Police say no injuries were reported.
