Talk about a cold start to the weekend when some of us woke up to temperatures in the middle 20s! However, we warmed up nicely throughout the course of the day. Our average temperature for this time of year is the upper 50s, and we ended up right on par with that as Topeka maxed out at 57°. We’ll close out on this seasonal day with clear skies still in tact.
However, if you’re not exactly a fan of these cold temperatures, you’ll be happy to know that we’re tracking gradually warming temperatures through the start of next week. It’ll be another chilly start to the day tomorrow, but at least it will be a smidge warmer compared to the morning today. The majority of the region will wake up to temperatures in the low to mid 30s.
Sunday will top out in the mid 60s, warming up to the upper 60s for Monday, but we won’t stop there. The lower 70s will return to northeast Kansas starting on Tuesday, and lasting up until Friday when drop back down into the upper 50s (again, where we should be for this time of year) thanks to a cold front.
