TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Athletes of all levels took to the stairs in Topeka today. The city played host to its 5th Annual Tower and Tough Tower Run this morning.
The running event saw runners pushed to their limits as they climbed to the top of the Topeka Tower.
One runner says he was so prepared for the challenge that he traveled to the capital city all the way from Florida.
That runner says he will climb to the top of the Empire State Building in a similar competition next year.
Other runners tell KSNT News the race racks up a lot of miles in a short amount of time – increasing the level of the challenge.
All proceeds raised today go to benefit Downtown Topeka’s free community events.
