Yesterday, Topeka maxed out at 57°, which was the daily average high for the capitol city. Today, we’re forecasting that to be the temperature around lunchtime.
Today was the start of yet another stretch of unseasonably warm weather across northeast Kansas. The high temperature for Topeka today was 64°, but even warmer temperatures are on the way. We’re tracking a gradual warm-up throughout the next few days.
We’ll inch into the upper 60s for the start of the new work and school week on Monday, with lower 70s expected Tuesday through Thursday. Predominantly clear skies will greet those warmer temperatures, until the region gets a shake-up Thursday night into Friday.
A cold front will push through Thursday into Friday, bringing the slight chance for some scattered showers and storms, but also cooler air. The lower 70s for Thursday will be replaced by seasonal temperatures back into the 50s for Friday and the upcoming weekend.
