Another major warm-up on the way

We’re tracking warmer days ahead, as temperatures soar into the middle/ upper 70s for most of the week. Northeast Kansas continues this impressive stretch of flawless weather with highs on the rise. Mother Nature has us all fooled as of late – it is November after all. Our average high temperature for this time of the year is 56°. This week – highs will be closer to 90° than our seasonal temperatures. Let that sink in for a moment. The warmest day will be Thursday (again) with highs pushing 77°. The coldest? Saturday.

The autumnal ‘ups and downs’ will be apparent as we get closer to the weekend. In fact, temps will plummet by Saturday. Expect weekends lows in the 20s, with highs only around 50°. How about that? Things can change VERY quickly this time of year. Although, it looks like we’re in for another stretch of tranquil weather leading up to Thanksgiving…next week. Stay tuned.

The only chance for rain this week will be on Friday. A fast-moving cold front will spark some showers and storms as it passes through our neck of the woods. The timing is NOT nailed down quite yet. We’ll continue to track this late-week weather-maker, though. As if you couldn’t guess this already – it’s this specific storm system that will cause the big time weekend cool-down.

You’re already in the right place for the latest weather information across Northeast Kansas. Be sure to check back for regular forecast updates, as this week’s rain chances get closer. You can also download our KSNT Storm Track Weather App for free right here.
