TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – The Thanksgiving holiday is less than a week away and organizers of the Topeka community Thanksgiving dinner need your help to make it a success.
This year marks the 49th anniversary of the community dinner. The dinner serves close to two thousand people in Topeka every year.
Organizers are asking for non-perishable food item donations again this year. Items needed include:
- Cranberry sauce (jellied)
- Evaporated milk
- Canned yams
- Stuffing mix
- Chicken broth
- Instant potatoes
- Brown sugar
- Gravy mix (chicken or turkey)
- Green beans
Items can be dropped off at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka.
