TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – In the meeting with Donald Trump Sunday, Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach could be seen carrying a Department of Homeland Security strategic plan. The exact title of it reads, “Department of Homeland Security Kobach Strategic Plan for first 365 Days.”
You can read what is on that document he has in his hand in the pictures below. We’ve looked through them, the plans are very similar to what Donald Trump said during his campaign.
Some of the plans were focusing on banning potential terrorists from entering the U.S. and tracking all aliens from high risk areas.
We talked to our KSNT News political analyst Dr. Bob Beatty on what his takeaways were from the pictures.
“Obviously a lot of people are going to have fun with this but it’s also serious because it is highly unusual to not have that in a folder to have that hidden that is something that probably Donald Trump didn’t necessarily want to be shared,” KSNT News’ Political Analyst Dr. Bob Beatty said.
Doctor Bob Beatty says he is not even sure if Kobach’s chances at getting the job with Homeland Security will be hurt by showing the plan.
