TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Local Dillions stores are stocking up ahead of the opening of the holiday season.
Stores have loaded up with extra staff and inventory in preparation of Thanksgiving. The busy season will last through New Year’s day.
Also part of the retailers holiday business strategy – making sure employees get to spend time at home, with their families.
“We have always believed the holidays are our time to shine at Dillons, thanks to the passion and dedication of our associates,” said Colleen Juergensen, Dillon Stores president. “Our Dillons associates give so much of their energy to serve nearly a million customers shopping for their holiday meals in the days leading up to Thanksgiving. Now, our Dillons associates can enjoy Thanksgiving supper making memories with their family, friends, and loved ones.”
Local stores will run on limited holiday hours beginning Thursday.
Topeka and Manhattan stores will close at 6:00 p.m., while the chain’s Emporia location at 902 E. 12th street will close at 2:00 p.m.
The final pick-up time for online, “ClickList” orders in Andover, Derby, Hutchinson, Lawrence, and Topeka will be 1:00 pm.
According to Dillions, in the two weeks leading up to Thanksgiving “ClickList” orders will produce enough purchases to fill two semi-trucks full of groceries.
The feature allows you to shop from the comfort of your own home and pick your groceries up curbside.
